This book highlights and celebrates the street and parkland trees within the historic town of Berry. To help identify each tree the book contains more than 730 beautiful photographs of key tree parts as well as a short description of each tree.

The book aims to help you identify the tree that you are interested in by using the photographs as a useful start and then looking at the size and shape of the leaves and the type of fruit on the tree.

The descriptions for each species follows the same format.

The common name , Generic name, Family name and Origin are listed in the left hand column of the page.

The body of the text contains a simple description of:

Habit—the habit and height of the tree, whether it is evergreen or deciduous, its canopy type and something about its bark

Leaf—characteristics and their arrangement, colour and leaf margin type, as well as the petiole

Flower—by arrangement, size and colour and flowering time

Fruit—by characteristics such as size colour and maturity times

Notes on the use of the tree and any further remarks or points of interest
